NOTICE

The AKC’s Management Disciplinary Committee has suspended Mr. William Burress, College Corner, OH, from all AKC privileges for one year, effective September 14, 2009, and imposed a $1000 fine for conduct prejudicial to purebred dogs, purebred dog events, or to the best interests of The American Kennel Club for non-compliance with AKC’s record keeping and dog identification requirements, and the AKC’s Care and Conditions Policy (unacceptable conditions, dogs and/or facility). The AKC’s Management Disciplinary Committee has suspended Ms. Henriette Fagan, Saint Johnsville, NY, from all AKC privileges for ten years and imposed a $2000 fine, effective July 7, 2008, for conduct prejudicial to purebred dogs, purebred dog events, or to the best interests of The American Kennel Club based on her violation of the AKC’s Cruelty Conviction Policy. (Irish Wolfhound)

Fagan, Saint Johnsville, NY, from all AKC privileges for ten years and imposed a $2000 fine, effective July 7, 2008, for conduct prejudicial to purebred dogs, purebred dog events, or to the best interests of The American Kennel Club based on his violation of the AKC’s Cruelty Conviction Policy. The AKC's Management Disciplinary Committee has suspended the following individuals from all AKC privileges for a period of ten years, effective August 12, 2002 and imposed fines of $2000 each for failure to comply with the recordkeeping and identification requirements of Chapter 4 of the Rules Applying to Registration and Discipline. Further, reinstatement will be contingent upon their beginning with a new colony:

ANIMAL WELFARE CHARGES BROUGHT AGAINST CEDARCREST KENNEL IN AVA, MO.RIVERDALE, Md., Dec. 14, 2000
- The U.S. Department of Agriculture recently charged Marilyn Shepard, doing business as Cedarcrest Kennel in Ava, Mo., with violations of the Animal Welfare Act.

Read the press release for the above as well as a previous USDA license suspension and fine of the same breeder in 1998 and USDA charges against the same breeder in 1996.

NOTICE

The AKC’s Management Disciplinary Committee has suspended Walter Nacey (Mount Vernon, OH) from all AKC privileges for a period of ten (10) years, effective January 10, 2000, and imposed a $500 fine for failure to make his dogs and records available for inspection when requested, and for having submitted, or caused to be submitted, two litter registration applications which he knew, should have known, or had a duty to know, contained false certification. (Multiple Breeds)

Note: Walter Nacey (deceased as of August 2003) advertised Irish Wolfhounds under two kennel names - "Blarney Castle" and "Erin Go Braugh"
