Kerry McGuire “Art of
the Wolfhound”  WIN a beautiful pastel portrait of your hound! Kerry McGuire has been a self-supporting Artist for 30 years, focusing mainly on sculpture. For the past two years her focus has shifted to animal portraiture with a passion for the Irish Wolfhound. Her pastel creations can be seen on Facebook at “Art of the Wolfhound”, and has recently been published in the book, Dog Sayings: Wit and Wisdom from Man’s Best Friend, by Bradford G. Wheler. | Photos for consideration can be close-ups,
head portraits, action shots or special/endearing moments. (Interactions
with other animals will be considered) We are looking for the artful expression and beauty of essence, not for the perfect hound, therefore
trophy/show poses will not be considered. Good composition and clarity of eyes is much appreciated. START DATE: June 26, 2011 DEADLINE: Closing deadline for submissions is October 26, 2011 (6pm Eastern Standard Time) ENTRY FEE to the competition is $5 per photo ($6 if using PayPal). Entrants do not have to be residents of the USA and do not have to be members of the IWCA. All entrants must agree to abide by these terms and conditions. All proceeds will go to Irish Wolfhound Health, Education and Rescue. Each entrant can submit as many photographs as they wish, the cost of $5 ($6) per photo. All photographs will be displayed on the IWCA website page "Photo Contest Entries". Please email your photograph as an attachment to the email, not as a photo within the body of the email. It must be high resolution JPG format only, at least 750-800 pixels in size. Send to the IWCA Webmaster and include your name and the name and age of your dog. Payment may be made using the PayPal button below or checks (made out to IWCA, Inc) can be mailed to the club treasurer: Patty Newgard, PO Box 1615 Hilliard, FL 32046. Any photograph submitted should be from amateur photographers. The photo must be either a digital photograph or a high-quality scan. Hard copies will not be accepted. Your local print shop can scan photos for you. Photos entered must be a good example of the breed CONSENT & COPYRIGHT The entrant must be the sole author and owner of the copyright. By entering your photograph into the competition, you grant the Irish Wolfhound Club of America the non-commercial non-exclusive right to use your images for promotion of the IWCA online photo competition and for promotion of an IWCA project in any media. The photographer will be credited whenever possible. Entrants must not infringe on the privacy rights, copyright or other rights of any person. DIGITAL CRITERIA: High resolution JPG format only, MUST be at least 750-800 pixels in size. JUDGING: Photographs are pre-selected by a panel of nominated judges from the IWCA and the Artist. FINAL JUDGING: The judging panels decision is final and the prize cannot be exchanged, transferred or redeemed for cash. THE WINNER: will be notified by email and displayed on the competition page. Winner must respond within 30 days in order to receive the prize. If the winner does not reply the prize will be rolled over to the second place winner and so on. Final winners first and last names will be listed on the contest winners page along with your dog’s name and photo. OUR RIGHTS The IWCA reserves the right to exclude entrants and withhold prize for violating any of these terms and conditions. Should the quality of entries fall below the standard required we reserve the right not to award prizes. The IWCA reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions.
