We are pleased to announce the 2021 Outstanding Sportsmanship winner is Joe Roland.
Joe is a long time IWCA and Irish Wolfhound Association of the Delaware Valley member and is a past IWCA board member. He has also judged several clubs matches in addition to our National Specialty Sweepstakes in 2012. He and his wife Kathy show and breed under the kennel name R Noble.
Joe has been a positive influence through his mentoring of new people to the breed and his willingness to serve the IWCA in any way he can. Whether grooming or handling a fellow competitor’s dog, Joe is always there to help.
Lastly, we can't have a proper Specialty without Joe Roland singing our National Anthem!
As one person summarized, “his example is the type of sportsmanship to which we should all aspire.”
